The Etna Cable Car is the only company authorized to provide mechanized ascent on the southern slope of Mount Etna.
This incredible experience allows you to enjoy a safe and memorable high-altitude adventure… on an active volcano!

Purchase your ticket in advance to secure your place for this unique experience, which lets you ascend Europe’s highest active volcano and access a dedicated ticket counter by validating the QR code on your voucher.

The activity starts at an altitude of 1,923 meters above sea level at the departure station and allows access to higher elevations. Choose the option that best suits your needs and reach either 2,500 m or 2,900 m above sea level.

Aboard a modern cable car, you will reach the upper station at 2,500 meters above sea level. In case of strong winds, the ascent will be carried out by 4x4 buses.

Choose the Complete Cable Car option to continue your journey aboard a special 4x4 bus. This ticket allows you to reach the maximum altitudes of the summit area permitted by the authorities (currently set at 2,900 meters above sea level).
This option includes a guided walk of about 20 minutes with certified Alpine/Volcanological guides. Together, you will reach a breathtaking viewpoint that, under clear visibility conditions, offers sweeping views over much of eastern Sicily. In case of snow, the ascent will be carried out using special tracked vehicles (snowcats).
